Half Day Workshop
You will be guided through the Rimu Track situated in the magnificent Pureora Forest Park.
You will hear stories of the Maori people and how they utilised the forest resources in their daily lives.
You will learn to weave a Taonga (special gift) and to "Hongi" (traditional Maori greeting/farewell).  The walk will take place in a natural forest environment and includes interpretation of the flora and fauna of the New Zealand natural forest.

Our tutors are of Maori descent, and have local knowledge of the walk location.

Our tutors will ensure your experience will be informative and educational as well as entertaining and enjoyable.

Days available: Monday to Sunday
Start and finish times: 10.00am-1.00pm
Price per participant: NZ$75 per person for a minimum of 4 people
Price includes: Tuition, material and fact sheets. Indigenous inspired picnic lunch
Workshop location:  Rimu Track - Pureora Forest, North Island or Rotopounamu, Tongariro National Park
Notes:
-  Track is easy grade and suitable for all ages.
Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.
- Transport from Taupo to walk start can be arranged on request.
